Patterson’s Advanced Imaging Training Program
Product support and training are crucial when purchasing a CT scanner in the veterinary market due to the complex nature of the technology and its significant initial and operational costs. Proper training ensures that veterinary staff can effectively operate the equipment, interpret images accurately, and maintain safety standards. Most manufacturers provide initial training by non-clinical product specialists, but Patterson is different. We believe that techs should train techs, doctors should train doctors. Ongoing education for both is recommended to keep up with current clinical protocols and best practices. This training ultimately enhances diagnostic capabilities, improves patient care, and can provide economic benefits by increasing staff confidence in the technology leading to a higher caseload.
What is included when you purchase a system from Patterson?
Initial training will be performed by a certified veterinary technician. The goal for the initial training is to educate and elevate technicians into champions of your brand new CT or MRI. We cover patient positioning, software use, quality controls, basic contrast use, artifact reduction and long term care.
Once the technicians are trained, we focus on the doctors. We will have a licensed veterinarian come into your practice and work with you and your associates. During this training the focus is advanced software use, case selection, image interpretation and a discussion on revenue production.
Follow up sessions are always available. Most systems include 3 separate training sessions with the option to purchase additional training blocks. During these follow up visits we can address all questions, concerns, pain points or get additional champions up to speed.
Surgical training. Our veterinarians offer hands-on training to performing various procedures to treat common disease processes diagnosed with advanced imaging. Contact us for a list of available procedures.
Ongoing remote support. Because we employ veterinarians to support you with your purchase, ongoing remote support is available at no cost. Our vets are a phone call away to answer additional questions and can log in to help you interpret images.
Teleradiology. Patterson has unique and exclusive relationships with multiple teleradiology groups. Not all radiologists are trained on all modalities, and we can help you find the ones best suited to your new system.
All our systems include long term warranties or service agreements to provide regular updates and technical support to ensure the CT scanner operates efficiently.
Patterson is a relationship based company, not a transactional one. We are here to support you in all areas of practice.
